February 4, 2006 - Unified Online Gaming
An upcoming issue of Playstation Magazine (PSM) notes that Sony is planning on a fully unified and integrated online service for both its PS3 and PSP game boxes.
This is meant to match Microsoft's Xbox Live, which has been tremendously successful in this most recent generation, Xbox 360. Sony is still hush on the quantity of features while they plan on meeting with their QA and compliance team.
Although PSM’s sources all go unnamed in this article, credibility is lent to their story through an online questionnaire, provided by Sony, which has been circulating the web. The questions in this survey lead one to believe that Sony is considering a more unified online service.
Although not offically confirmed thus far, it certainly seems that we are getting closer and closer to a new age online service for upon release of the PS3.
