With 2010 standing on its own accord as one of the best years ever to be a PS3 gamer, looking ahead to the new PS3 games coming soon is the next logical step. It was a bit tough to narrow down the list of upcoming PS3 games to cover in this feature, but thankfully we think we've made a varied but strong list that should appeal to everyone.

With Batman: Arkham Asylum a suprise, smash hit on all consoles, it's only natural that this sequel is heavily anticipated. Set in Arkham City in lieu of the Arkham Asylum setting of the first game, Batman: Arkham City promises to feature more villains, more storyline and more twists and turns that made the original one such a surprisingly delicious game. By far one of the best PS3 games coming soon.
Unless you've been living under a rock for the past several years, you've probably heard, seen and listened to many an Uncharted commercial or advertisement. All in all, many people view it as the biggest upcoming PS3 game overall -- and many in the industry think that it isn't just the biggest new PS3 games yet to be released, it's the biggest game multi-console that will be released. And it's only on the Playstation 3!
Another sequel to the suprise hit Dead Space, Dead Space 2 promises more of the same and then some. As such, especially with many feeling the first game was damn close to perfection, make this sequel easily one of the blockbuster upcoming PS3 games in the New Year.
Even if you didn't like the first one, there's still a lot to love with this sequel, which will essentially allow you to create whatever types of mini-games and mini-worlds that your imagination can dream up. While the overall gameplay and charm from the first game will make the transfer, the engine as a whole has been overhauled and the tools with which you, the player, can make your own levels and games is light-years ahead of what it was in the last game.
Arguably the most anticipated game of 2011, Mass Effect 3 very well may surpass even Uncharted 3 as the top new PS3 games released in 2011. The only bad thing? The Mass Effect series is essentially a trilogy, so the third installment in the space epic will unfortunately finally bring the saga to a close. Regardless, Mass Effect 3 promises to boast over 40+ hours of gameplay yet again and bring the story to a satisfying conclusion. A la: however you want it to end.
